What age are the cars suitable for?

We have various cars in the set, some are feet-on-the-floor 'scoot along' types suitable for children from 1-3 years, others have pedals - the suggested age range for these is 2-5 years.

Can we hire just one or two cars?

For the best experience we suggest hiring the full set for children's parties and we generally don't hire out cars individually. However, if you have any specific requirements, please contact us and we'll see what we can do to help.

  Delivery & Collection

Where are you based?

Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.

What is your delivery radius, will you deliver outside this radius?  

We deliver free of charge within a 25 mile radius of our base in Cheltenham. If you would like delivery/collection from somewhere further afield, this is usually possible, please contact us for a delivery quote.

Do we need to be there when you collect?

Yes - please don't leave the pedal cars in an unlocked place for us to collect from, as any loss will be chargeable to the hirer.

Can you be present throughout the party to manage the pedal cars/children?

Not currently, we're only offering the hire of the play equipment at this time. Adult supervision is essential at all times.

What happens if there is limited or restricted parking/access at my venue/house?

This is not usually a problem but please tell us in advance if there are any access or parking concerns to avoid any delays on the day of the party.

  The Venue

What type of venue is suitable?

Our favourite venue for these parties is your local village hall, as they typically have good access, a hard, level surface to pedal the cars on, plenty of space to avoid bumps and it can be used all year round regardless of the weather.

Having said that, any large room, decking area or patio with a solid floor can be suitable - we'd suggest 6 metres x 6 metres clear space as a minimum to be able to enjoy all the cars. With suitable temporary flooring (or in dry weather), outdoor spaces including lawns, fields and marquees can be used, however please note the pedal cars are not waterproof and should not be allowed to get wet.

What surface is best - can the cars be used on grass/carpet/tiles?

Our cars have solid rubber (not pneumatic) tyres, so hard, level surfaces are the easiest to pedal on - wood, concrete, carpet, tiles or paving slabs. However, flat lawns are also good fun, it just takes a bit more effort, or a push from an adult! The cars should never be used on sloping or uneven ground, and we'd advise against using the cars on rough surfaces without temporary flooring.

Do you have a list of venues I could book?

Please contact us if you need help finding a local venue - there are plenty of village halls, school and church halls available for hire, often at very reasonable prices. You may also find a local venue at the www.hallshire.com website.

If you own a venue which might be suitable for parties, please contact us and we'd be happy to add you to our list.

Can you arrange the venue for me?

At this time we're focusing on the delivering the cars and play equipment, so you will need to book your own venue. However, we'd be happy to suggest some venues depending on your location.

Can you deliver to my marquee?

Yes, we'd be happy to deliver to marquees. We would suggest hiring a 'dance floor' surface to drive the cars on unless the ground is hard. Our pedal cars are a fun distraction for children at weddings and large events, and we are a great alternative to hiring a bouncy castle or giant games - and the cars make fantastic photo opportunities.

Can the cars be used outside?

Yes, subject to the ground surface being suitable, however, the cars are not waterproof so driving the cars outside is only possible on dry days.

  Payment and Hire Periods

When do I need to pay?

A £50 deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your party date, we cannot reserve a date until the deposit is received. The full balance is payable 14 days before the party date.

How long does the hire period last?

The hire period is three hours, although we will try to be flexible to fit in with your plans, which we will discuss with you in advance.

Can I hire for more than one day at a time?

Yes, depending on availability, we may be able to offer special rates for longer hire periods, please contact us.

Do you hire the cars 7 days a week, 365 days a year?

The pedal cars are available for hire almost all the time. Please contact us for availability.

Which payment methods do you accept?

We accept payments by bank transfer, cash or cheque.
